Canonical Ubuntu, the most popular OS from laptop to the cloud, is receiving an update for System z and LinuxONE that includes long-term support.

In April 2020, it was announced that Ubuntu support would last for 10 years.

The Ubuntu update provides economical support for the full LinuxONE drawer, along with OpenStack support, automation, security, and compliance.
